Two years since the 2.22 earthquake: Panel Exhibition Opens

2011年2月22日に起きたクライストチャーチ大地震から2年が経ちました。

犠牲になられた方々のご冥福をお祈りします。

CEAinSENDAIでは、仙台国際センターでクライストチャーチの復興の状況などを伝えるパネル展を3/6まで開催しています。

復興へ頑張るクライストチャーチの様子をぜひご覧に来てください。

期間：2013年2月22日‐3月6日

会場：仙台国際センター１Ｆ交流コーナー

（開館時間：毎日9：00‐20：00、最終日3/6は15：00まで）

内容：

メンバーのケイレブが帰国時に撮影した現地の様子、崩壊した大聖堂に替わる仮設の聖堂の建設について、また「ロードコーンフラワー」で2.22大地震への追悼を表すクライストチャーチのアーティストのイラストや、来月クライストチャーチで開催する「Shared Lines」展に出展する一部アーティストの作品など

Two years have passed since the Christchurch Earthquake hit on February 22, 2011. We continue to pray for the repose of the souls of those lost in the quake.

CEA in SENDAI will be holding an exhibition on Christchurch’s recovery from the quake until March 6 at the Sendai International Center.

Please come and see the fruits of Christchurch’s recovery efforts.  

Date: February 22, 2013 – March 6, 2013

Location: The Koryu Corner on the 1^st floor of the Sendai International Center

Opening hours: Everyday 9am – 8pm (on the final day of the exhibit, March 6, the exhibit will close at 3pm)

Contents of the Exhibition: Pictures taken by Kaleb on a trip to Christchurch showing the current state of the city’s recovery and the temporary church building being used in place of the destroyed Christchurch Cathedral. Artworks by Christchurch artists will also be displayed, such as an illustration of the “road cone flower” memorials that sprung up in the aftermath of the quake, as well as some of the artworks that are to be displayed in Christchurch at next month’s “Shared Lines” exhibition.
